GR: Tell us a little bit about yourself and where you live.
AO: Well I'm from LA and have lived here my whole life. I'm currently in Los Feliz and I'm 25 years old.
GR: How did you become interested in photography?
AO: I don't really remember when I always liked camera but never knew how to use them but wanted to learn. I feel like ED (Tempelton) got me into it. Being on the road and seeing him shoot photos of everyone I think just made me wanna shoot photos. So I think that's how I got into it.
GR: When you're not skating, you are...
AO: Hanging out with my girl friend or making music on my computer.
GR: Night owl or early bird?
AO: I would like to be an early bird but I'm not and I hate it. I'm a night owl by heart.
GR: Dopest band(s) at the moment.
AO: Well I don't know if I would say "dopest" but a band I like would be Neon Indian.
AO: Fuck, just make them because I like doing them. I would like to a music video at one point.
GR: Favorite alcoholic beverage.
AO: That would have to be a beer.
GR: You have $8 in your wallet, what do you buy?
AO: Depends ???? 8 dollars can't get you shit anymore but I guess I would go to a Target and check out the dollar section. A bottle of water would be in there.
GR: Any upcoming tours/projects?
AO: Tours no not really. Project?? The chocolate video and I need to make some projects myself.

So in love with this crop sweater/thermal. Perfect for transitioning into Fall and layering it over top of a dress. I almost missed this as I was checking out of Free People. I glanced over and caught the detail of the sleeves which won me over. So in love with the texture of the top and the scoop in the back. Comfy and sweet.
I've known about these guys since last November but I never actually listened to them until this past August. If The Doors & Joy Division had a baby, this band would be the little starship. Seriously, would I lie to you? Listen to them for yourself.
Too geek to ignore. You cannot seriously tell me you read this whole list without laughing. I saw this Top 5 list by one of my favorite artist, Neck Face on Crailtap.

GR: Tell us a little bit about yourself and where you live.
MS: I'm a 21 year old full time street artist, I'm living on the Gold Coast at the moment but tend to move around a lot.
GR: Inspiration / influences?
MS: My arts mainly influenced by Sci-Fi and Fantasy. Stuff like Frank Frazetta and Rodger Dean, as well the street art community I'm part of.
GR: How did you become interested in working larger scales?
MS: I guess it was just the logical step and a way to keep pushing myself. It allows you to incorporate a lot more detail with less effort and gives you more room to to do expressive strokes. I dream of going much bigger.
GR: Dopest band(s) at the moment.
MS: I love real corny rap like Lil Wayne and Kanye what can I say in my defense it gets me going :)
GR: Night owl or early bird?
MS: Bit of both, I sleep a lot.
GR: Favorite alcoholic beverage.
MS: Gin and juice, or a good scotch.
GR: You have $8 left in your wallet, what do you spend it on?
MS: That would suck, I would probably buy some weed and commiserate about my financial situation.
GR: How did you come up with the characters you paint?
MS: I started painting with continuous lines in the street to allow me to paint quickly and keep my strokes nice and thin. From there its been a gradual evolution.
GR: Anything new happening in the life of Shida?
MS: I have a show opening the 8th on the Gold Coast at Comb Art Space. Facebook event here for more info. And I'm getting ready for a world tour consisting of South East Asia, the US, Brazil and Europe.

It's that time of the year. Ladies, pull out those chunky knit sweaters Fall is officially here. 1. Le Tigre Color block knit sweater is definitely going to be one of my favorite pieces this season. So sweet to vamp up any outfit. 2. DR YANY Messenger bag is my go-to school bag for this semester. Who says you can't look trendy at school? You can get this bag at Nordstrom. 3. 'Stress Relief' Pillow Mist- I love going to bed now because I spritz a little of this aromatherapy mist onto my pillows & I swear I'm in heaven. It smells absolutely amazing and it really does calm me down. This is part of the Bath & Body Works line so I cannot wait to stock up on body lotion & spray in this particular scent. It smells like fresh linen & cologne... which I love both. 4. Missoni for Target lingerie- So soft and comfy. This is one of my favorite prints from there collection and was one of the few things left available to pick up so I snatched this as soon as I saw it at my local Target.
